New Season Begins - Rugby & The Blues

Li'l Jimmy ReedBusy week once more so it's only now that ickledot can mark the beginning of a new rugby season. Last weekend was actually the second week but it was the first home game for local side Bradford & Bingley. Good for them it was a comfortable win following a disappointing away defeat on the opening day. The side was relegated on the final day last season and so they're hoping for a quick return to the higher division. It was also the first show in a new season for Bronte Blues Club. A great night with the visit of blues veteran, Li'l Jimmy Reed. It's going to be remarkable season with many great acts visiting Laycock Village Hall. With the appearance of Ian Siegal & Jimbo Mathus in November it will be the club's 100th show.

Rugby was the theme on Sunday too as Yorkshire Under 20s held their second training session. Great news for ickledot that confirmation came through as being the side's official taker of photographs for the season - with a card to prove it!

You can see more pictures of these happenings here, here and here!
