A great night at Bronte Blues Club on Friday. Here's my reaction on Facebook the following morning:I know I always tend to say such things but this really was an epic night. Ian Siegal Berry & Jimbo Mathus provided a fantastic evening to celebrate the club's centenary show. Don't know whether a half-time conversation about The Pogues led to an encore rendition of the mighty Ewan MacColl's 'Dirty Old Town' but I certainly enjoyed it, along with a mandolin & harmony enhanced version of the wonderful 'Gallo del Cielo'. Here are more pics from the show on Flickr.
Have to say I was quite pleased with the photos from the show. Managed to get some close shots with both musicians in frame. For a short while these were the only UK pics of the duo as it was the opening night of their first European tour. I'm sure there'll be a lot more now, two days and two performances later.
