Writing this post from Sunny Wanstead, relaxing for a few days before the trip to Twickenham to see and photograph Yorkshire's Under 20s team in their championship final. Busy week. Last Wednesday it was an afternoon and evening spent at The Shay stadium in Halifax for the White Rose Schools Rugby Finals. The competition was strong in all age groups, culminating in a dominant display from the seniors of Ilkley Grammar School. Highly impressive. As we've become used to saying: Future's Reet, Future's Yorkshire. You can see more pictures of the afternoon here.
Friday evening was Bronte Blues Club in the company of blues and soul singer, Earl Thomas. This really was a class act which received a rapturous standing ovation by the close. You can see more of him here.
On Sunday it was another afternoon spent photographing the Mascot Gold Cup at Wetherby Racecourse for the Sue Ryder charity. As had been on Wednesday, the day was sunny and warm with a great crowd in attendance and over 140 mascots from far and wide. Several thousand pounds were raised and a great time was had by all. You can see more of the mascots and some horses too here.
