Home Again, New Season Begins

I know, I've been outrageously remiss in not blogging for what seems like ages. That's mainly because it is ages. For a while I had my holiday as an excuse but now, three weeks later, there really are no excuses left. However, a great deal has been happening. A new rugby union season has begun and ickledot has attended two matches: West Park Leeds against Yarnbury followed by Old Crossleyans taking on Malton & Norton just a couple of days ago. On both occasions the home side lost, putting the two teams right next to each other at the foot of the table. Yesterday was a trip out to Sherburn-in-Elmet to photograph the Vale of York Half Marathon. Sixteen hundred runners took part on a beautiful Autumn morning. The venue was a partly disused airfield so the going was flat although the increasing heat took its toll on a number of entrants.

Biggest news of all though is that some of ickledot's rugby pictures are being shown for the duration of the Rugby Union World Cup at Leeds Central Library and I've been invited to speak about them tomorrow night. If you're in the area, why not go along? It's free! Truly-Madly-Rugby-Talk
