A few more of ickledot's favourites from 2016. Each of the ones below come from the first couple of months of the year. Not all your classic action shots and one certainly a little bit quirky but they certainly bring back memories.
The first comes from the end of a game between Yarnbury and North Ribblesdale. It just highlights the conditions: almost dark, pouring down and very cold. The ISO on ickledot's Canon 7D Mk II was in the stratosphere so the result is very noisy. Still works tho IMHO, particularly in black and white.
Had to look this one up to remember where it was from. It was actually a Yorkshire Under 18 game against Cumbria, played at Sandal Rugby Club. Really wanted to highlight the muddy conditions here. There's a texture added too. A real grungerooni!
Back to Bradford & Bingley for the final two and the aforementioned puddle/pond/lagoon at one corner of the pitch following the club's disastrous Boxing Day flood. The try itself was dramatic enough but the slow rising from the depths caused something of a mini tsunami.
